Englishton Park - Rawson Center & Shelter Houses

Englishton Park has a long history of tradition and community involvement dating back to the early 1800s. Various influential political figures have played a huge role in what Englishton Park is today.

If you're planning an outdoor wedding, having a family reunion, organizing a getaway with friends, or looking for a workplace, team, or church retreat location, Englishton Park offers a unique, spacious, and charming private space! Englishton Park, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation operating a beautiful 250-acre campus in Southeastern Indiana.

Ten miles east of Scottsburg on the outskirts of the small town of Lexington, our wooded property is secluded, quiet, and restful. For more than 180 years, Englishton Park has been a beautiful, peaceful refuge from the hustle of daily life. The campus originally served as the summer estate of William Hayden English and later his son, Captain William E. English.

Amenities include the Rawson Center lodging space, a 2-story brick building with full kitchen, restrooms/showers, 7 upstairs sleeping rooms with twin beds, and a well-equipped conference/dining area on first floor that seats 20. (Bring own linens/towels & pillows; sleeps 14.) There are also 2 shelter houses, one adjacent to Rawson Center and one beside the lovely Lower Lake. The Englishton Park property includes several walking trails in the wooded acreage and our beautiful Upper Lake, encircled by forest. There are many amazing outdoor and historic photograph opportunities.
